nice
sweet rig
imagine what pcs will be like in 50 years
BSOD wants to know you're location lol
I remember the first dual procesor board I had . It was a Dual Slot 1 board with 2 Slot 1 Pentium II processors. I never found a real use for it lol.
intel trying to make a 2019 to 2022 gaming pc 10 y before lol
The fact that this processor is still viable today, and it is , for every day application, is courtesy of Intel, that held computer industry back for the better part of the last decade, supposedly because it could not transition to a process better than 14nm.
If Intel did not put on the breaks at around 2013-2014, we would now be rocking desktops at Intel's 3 nm with transistor densities over 800 million/mm2.
If you think we somehow live in the future because we have android smartphones at 130 million transistors/mm2 and apple smartphones at 170millions/mm2, while desktops are still at 100, be my guest. The situation is tragic, Moore's law reversed a long before its natural death.
But can it run Crysis? 😉
I don't get it? My Dell Precision T5400 from like 2009 has two quad cores in it. I think they're E5410's
16:39 Pressing Del on the Task Manager also wants to know your location
I'd like to see that configuration but with a GPU of its time, maybe an 8800 GT
I use a an 11 year old MSI 970 gaming board.. watching this video on that machine now. Also do a lot of photo editing on it with LR and PS. A little video editing on Filmora. Got the AMD 8 core Black in it, which has been running as smooth as the day I put it in. I have 2 740 GTX cards and 4 screens…. but I won't be gaming on it any time soon.. unless its something like Minecraft of Bloons TD :p
I stg in 10 years we’ll have pocket gaming pc
play older games like crysis and then compare to crysis remastered
Ed needs subtitles?
Anyways, sick video
for my second pc i use a AMD Sockel AM3 Phenom II X6 1090T but his ends is comming closer and closer 😀
WAIT, DUAL NON-SERVER MOTHERBOARDS EXIST???!!!! WHY AREN'T THESE STANDARD YET????????
LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL DISORDER… Liberal Party of Canada means mental patients (incompetents) are running (ruining) the country…
what monitor are you using?
My computer from 2015 at 1080p dies
seeing this, i would say the 3090 will keep up for around 8 years…
I think that TaskMan tells lies. 😉
Wait i never knew the 'just sign out' trick lol
Still way faster than my laptop or shittop or whatever I have
I always smirked at the performance of my early cheese-grater MacPro some 8, 10 years on that could still keep up. You had to get over the SATA problems, but with SSDs, slightly newer CPUs, and a full rack of (then cheap) RAM, it had a long life of decent performance. It was also a dual processor rig, Xeon of course. I threw way more than 8GB, I think 16 or 32 GB in it.
I was waiting for you to put Linux on it. It would’ve made it useable.
Me watching this on my i7 2600 in 2022:
Yeah this thing sucks today
2080ti's where really cheap 3 yeears ago 🙂
Lol and yet it still gets outperformed by my Chromebook of today.
Watching this on a still-functional (though finally starting to crash) Classified SR-2 system, which definitely inherited its DNA from this board.
Personnellement j'ai fait à peu près pareil avec mon serveur, matériel de 2011, quasiment le top de l'époque avec 24 coeurs et 48 threads à 2.7GHz, 256 Go de ram, je suis très très bien pour très longtemps.
i cant even get my hands on a 1k gtx series from nvidia like a 1060 or 1080 while linus put2x gtx 2080 inside this system, just stop linus, just stop :(xd
In 2008 i built me a Athlon II X2 240 system (wich was running till christmas 2021!)
Ultimately you woulda been a happy chappy for many years for the "high" cost of this. You'd only sorta now be going oh shit better upgrade.
16: 39 exactly! this is something that’s always baffled me, if you click the close button five times it should just end task just like in task manager without having to get task manager up if it’s not possible to.
i have an i3 5th gen and this is what i would call best performance
Try running Oculus Rift on it next.
I'm sure it doesnt compare to this set up but this kinda just shows how much further advance apple was at the time. im running a mac pro 1.1 from 2006 and it has dual xeons and 8 slots for ram. given it doesnt have 4 16 lane pcie slots.. but has four of them non the less. currently running a gtx 770 in it and even in these modern times its pretty freaking fast and has excellent graphical capabilities
It wasn't bad. It could run Spore.
good sir I think you mean IEEE 1394.
my pc is 12 years old
The fact that this is faster than my pc makes me sad
YorkField is OLD- is that after or before Conroe?
