Issues I faced with sbi car loan in yr2010.
1. It was the main district branch.Internet was not working and they could not retrieve cibil report for 5 days ( just wasted my time).Then forced us to get the cibil report ourselves from other branch of sbi located an hr away.Then one day I had to wait whole day in the loan branch to get the files moving because my car had already arrived.By that time total time taken was already 3 weeks.I was under a lot of pressure from the dealer, otherwise they would have sold the same color variant to other customer.
2. SBI people forgot to select proper radio button on their software to deduct monthly emi and issued me
a letter regarding confiscating the car, thoughi had given my consent to deduct monthly emi from my sbi bank account. I was abroad for 2 months after purchasing the car.Came back to India and found what rubbish they have done.It was a result of their fault.For slightly higher interest, hdfc may be better or any other bank.Behaviour of sbi employees is not good too.Banking experience with sbi is always a headache because they are quite orthodox.
But SBI provides loan only servicemen
